Dr Shumeet and Mrs Della Banerji are wildlife and conservation enthusiasts who have spent over a decade working on projects in Madhya Pradesh while collecting tribal art. Haldu Tola is their tribute to natural history and tribal culture, celebrating the beautiful forest and the people of central India who have co-existed with wildlife for millennia.
This luxury four-bedroom private villa sits within Pench Tiger Reserve on 10 unfenced acres bordering protected forest. Guests share the land with 80+ bird species, deer, peacock, and occasional tigers and leopards passing through.
The all-inclusive property features tribal-inspired architecture reflecting the five elements, with commissioned Gond artworks, carved doors, sculptures and murals throughout. The interiors showcase pieces from tribal artists and the owners’ private collection, honoring the landscape and culture. There is the luxury of a heated swimming pool and a gym, and the organic fruit and vegetable garden supplies fresh produce for the kitchen
